Working in groups of 3-10 mobile masons per community (depending on the size and location of the community), each mobile mason will provide outreach services to households and local masons to support and facilitate the reconstruction process. The mobile masons should be from the community they work in as this ensures stronger links with the people they are working with as well as reducing language issues. The mobile masons will work closely with the NRA, Building DLPIU technical staff, acting as focal points within the community to provide progress updates and support the inspection process. Mobile masons will also support efforts on collective purchasing of materials and providing advice and guidance on material quality. The hiring organisation will provide training before the mason is deployed in this role, and will provide continuous mentoring and support throughout the contract period.
